I Won Something…Two Things!
*unfolds paper from suit pocket*
I'd like to thank Keirstin Fernandes who took my drawings and concepts and rendered them into actionable plans, and the fabrication crew at Pinnacle who constructed and brought the plans to three-dimensional life.
I would also like to thank Lisa Garvey for believing in me and letting me stray FAR from how software companies usually build booths to make a roadhouse bar and a 70s gameshow. And thank you to Denis Maynard who cheered on the idea of buying an old sidecar motorcycle to boost our big debut @ RSA Security, and who continues to support my big ideas.
Thank you to Brandon Heller who yes-and'd the gameshow concept with the moonshot of creating an entirely new game version of our product that people could play for prizes.
And lastly, thank you to Ms. Smethers at Richardson High School who ran the theater technology magnet all those years ago. Spending hours under the stage with power tools and paint, unsupervised and unrestrained, allowed me to hone my stagecraft and space design skills that I still use today.
Thank you!
